The City of Locarno proudly presents the official program for the centenary of the Locarno Conference, a historically significant event that shaped the course of European diplomacy in the early postwar period. Running until December 2025, this commemorative project features a diverse array of cultural, academic, and institutional events designed to celebrate and reflect on the Conference’s pivotal role in fostering peace in Europe.
Promoted by the City of Locarno, the initiative is carried out in collaboration with numerous cultural and academic partners, as well as several private individuals distinguished for their contributions and selected by an ad hoc jury. Partners include Armando Dadò Editore, Armando Good (goldsmith-sculptor), the Campi d'Arte Association, the Centro Pax Association, Gastro e Commercio Locarno Association, the Scintille Association, the Calicantus Choir, the Calliope Choir, the Historical Dictionary of Switzerland, EspoVerbano, the Federica Spitzer Foundation, the Locarno Film Festival, PalaCinema Locarno SA, Pro Orselina, the Dante Alighieri Society Locarno, the Locarno Historical Society, Stiftung Reichspräsident Friedrich-Ebert-Gedänkstätte, SUPSI, and Teatro Paravento.
During the presentation press conference, the City Hall will unveil the concept of the event, the official logo of the jubilee, and the landing page of the dedicated website, which will serve as an information platform for all scheduled events. The project is supported by major public and private institutions and entities, among which can already be enumerated the Republic and Canton of Ticino, through the Swisslos and Graziano Papa Funds, the Municipality of Muralto, Banca Stato and Culture in Locarno Foundation.
