The People's Fest aims to make known and promote the different cultures, foreign and local, present in our territory, through gastronomy, traditions and art, as well as to stimulate reflection on living together, thanks to the proposal of moments of discussion and in-depth analysis.

After the success of previous editions, the City of Locarno, with the support of the Canton Ticino's Service for the Integration of Foreigners and the main organisations and associations active in integration, will once again have the pleasure of organising the Festa dei Popoli.

Under the slogan ‘Peace, Inclusion, Community’, on Sunday 21 September 2025, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Piazza Grande will once again be transformed into a global stage to offer the population an unforgettable day of music, dance and conviviality, under the banner of diversity.

As in previous years, the heart of Locarno will come alive with music and dance performances, gastronomic and craft stalls from all over the world. There will also be, of course, a multitude of activities for all ages. An unmissable event for anyone wishing to explore and celebrate the different cultures that enrich our region. An event with a high intercultural value, therefore, and at the same time intergenerational.

The event's richness lies in the large number of associations, organisations and communities whose activities bring together numerous craft, gastronomic and cultural traditions from all over the world.
